Ridgway Children’s Services have the benefit of being able to provide accommodation for families (up to 6 people) to visit their child in the residential setting.

Visiting families can have use of a cottage in the grounds of Ridgway Park, working to promote the care plan subject to appropriate risk assessments being completed.

This will give families the opportunity to spend quality time together while having support of staff nearby.

Arrangements are individually agreed with families, placing authorities and Ridgway Children’s Services.

Visits usually take place at weekends or in school holidays.

There is also opportunity for families to visit the local area, the seaside or the Lake District.

The Family Residential Cottage is a very valuable resource to the young people and their families.
