Ridgway Children’s Services provide residential children’s homes and DCSF registered schools for young people who display emotional and behavioural difficulties with a strong emphasis on providing children with opportunities to develop their potential both educationally and socially.

We strive to work creatively to develop a range of flexible residential and educational facilities that are valued by children, parents, carers and local authorities.

We believe in a 'family style' approach to looking after children in our care. This is based upon our highly motivated, qualified and committed staff teams achieving a good balance of care and control through the development of sound positive relationships.

An inclusive approach to education is championed in each school, giving all young people, not only the opportunity to achieve to their potential but also the desire to succeed. We place great emphasis in the use of individualised timetables to facilitate each young persons learning.

Our therapy team work in partnership with care and education staff in the development and oversight of individual placement plans, IEPs and behaviour manangement plans and provide support and training to our staff teams to ensure quality and consistency across our services.
